Berner Osakeyhtiö has acquired Normomedical Oy’s entire share capital. Normomedical Oy is an 1993 formed importer and wholesaler of healthcare and wellness products. About 95 percent of the products sold by Normomedical are produced by the Japanese company Omron. Normomedical’s projected turnover for year 2011 is approximately 6 million euros.

Berner Osakeyhtiö has acquired Normomedical Oy’s entire share capital. Normomedical Oy is an 1993 formed importer and wholesaler of healthcare and wellness products. About 95 percent of the products sold by Normomedical are produced by the Japanese company Omron. Normomedical’s projected turnover for year 2011 is approximately 6 million euros.

The transaction reinforced Berner’s wellness and healthcare product group with the complement of Omron’s blood pressure monitors, thermometers, step counters, body composition monitors and electric toothbrushes. “The acquisition is logical and important step towards strengthening Berner’s selection of consumer goods and healthcare products”, commented Berner Osakeyhtiö’s CEO George Berner.

Berner Osakeyhtiö is a year 1883 formed family conglomerate that operates on an international scale. The Company manufactures, imports and markets high quality consumer products and consists of 11 accountable units and two manufacturing factories in Heinävesi and Rajamäki. Berner Osakeyhtiö Group’s turnover in 2010 was approximately 270 million euros.
